LERE OLAYINKA DISORIENTED OUTBURST: WIKE INFLUENCE VS. THE REALITY OF OSUN PROGRESSIVE STRUCTURE
The attention of Team Naron under the leadership of Alh Abdulraheem Muhammed-Saheed Omokehinde Akofe Olohunlalaro (Arowosadini of Offa Land)(Saraki Adiini of Raodotul Abror Worldwide) has been drawn to a statement credited to Lere Olayinka, wherein he hallucinated that the influence of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, would provide more votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Osun State than the efforts of the APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru (SRJ).
This statement is not only a product of deep-seated political frustration but a comical attempt to undermine the home-grown, grassroots dominance of the APC in Osun State. It is a claim that can never stand the test of time because it ignores the fundamental architecture of Osun politics.
The Fallacy of "External Influence"
Lere Olayinka assertion is an insult to the intelligence of the Osun electorate. While we acknowledge the political weight of the FCT Minister H.E Nyesom Wike in his own right, the suggestion that an external factor will outweigh the tireless, systemic, and structural leadership of Senator Ajibola Basiru is a moonlight tale told by a man desperate for relevance.
Senator Ajibola Basiru is a son of the soil whose political machinery is felt in every ward and local government in Osun. His influence is not based on visiting or donations, but on a lifelong commitment to the progressive cause in the state.
As the National Secretary of the APC, Senator Ajibola Basiru has successfully bridged the gap between national strategy and local execution. To compare his local influence with an external alliance is to compare the sun with a flashlight.
The APC in Osun is currently undergoing a massive rejuvenation. The Team Naron, The Like Minds and other grassroots organs are evidence that the party strength lies in its people, not in outsourced influence.
It is evident that the PDP in Osun is jittery. Seeing the failure of their dancing administration to provide real governance, they have resorted to hoping for cracks within the APC or relying on external names to save their sinking ship.
Lere Olayinka should be reminded that Osun is a state of intellectuals. We do not vote based on external influence; we vote based on structure, performance, and the progressive ideology that President Tinubu and Senator Ajibola Basiru represent.
We challenge Lere Olayinka to focus on the internal crisis tearing his party apart where even the Governor seat is under threat from within rather than acting as a self-appointed analyst for the APC.
The votes of Osun people are for Tinubu, but they will be delivered by the sweat and structure of Osun progressives led by the likes of Ajibola Basiru, not by the wishful thinking of a displaced media mercenary.
